PRE-MOVE SURVEY
We will complete an in home survey of your household effects, this will help us come up with an estimated weight and size of your shipment in order to quote your employer accordingly.
QUOTATION
Shortly after the survey has been performed, we will quote the billing party directly and wait for an award in order to proceed with the move on a door-to-door basis.
POST-BOOKING
You will be assigned a move coordinator that will work closely with you and guide you through the entire moving process. An intro email will go out with forms for you to read and complete.
INSURANCE
We offer several transit insurance options and deductibles, after discussing your insurance needs, we will advise options and cost to meet your specific needs.
PACKING
Packing is completed using international specific materials only. In most countries, we request the use of kraft-bubble wrap for surface shipments. For air shipments, we use tri-wall boxes (5, 10 and 15 cube) as well as D and E containers, depending on the size and type of commodity.
TRANSPORTATION AND DELIVERY
We will provide full international freight services by air, sea, and land. We will also comply with US flag requirements, arrange customs clearance, and deliver with full unpacking and same-day debris removal.

RMR International provides worldwide shipping services for household goods, including door-to-door arrangements. Our efficient transit times to airports and seaports are guaranteed due to the high volume of cargo we handle daily.
Door-to-door shipping by sea
We offer full-service packing and shipping services for household and personal items. Our services include export packing, pickup from your primary residence, preparation of shipping documents, delivery to the warehouse or port, forwarding services, and sea transportation. We also provide customs clearance at the destination, complete delivery to the final address, including unpacking, and disposal of all used packing materials.
Door-To-Door Shipping By Air
We provide air freight shipment services for personal effects, including packing, pickup at the residence with weighing, air transportation arrangements, and shipping documentation preparation. We also offer customs clearance at the destination and full delivery service, including unpacking at the final address and removal of used packing materials.
Domestic Relocation
RMR International specializes in international relocation services and also offers domestic relocation services through partnerships with van lines. When a relocation request is received, we carefully match the client’s needs with the most appropriate van line. We closely monitor both domestic and international shipments and can secure competitive rates through our service contracts. Our selection of the best van line is based solely on quality. Our quality process is designed to consistently meet and exceed our customers’ expectations.
Vehicle Transportation
We offer door-to-door shipping services for privately owned vehicles (POVs) by land and sea. If there is not enough space in the household goods container or if a separate request is made to transport the vehicle separately, we provide RoRo (roll on roll off) and FCL (full container load) services. For domestic transportation, we offer covered and uncovered services using specialized car transport trucks.
Storage
Our professionally managed storage solutions offer a secure and reliable option while finalizing timelines, housing, or shipping schedules. We have access to a trusted global agent network and utilize vetted facilities worldwide. Our main household goods warehouse is located in Alexandria, Virginia and is specifically dedicated to international shipments.
Security is a top priority. The facility is equipped with 24/7 in-house camera surveillance, controlled access, and monitored alarm systems at all entry and exit points. All goods are professionally packed using export-grade materials and handled according to international moving standards.

Insurance
If you want to insure your shipment with RMR International, we offer transit insurance coverage for an additional premium. Your items will be protected from the time they are packed by our agent until they reach the final destination country, including temporary storage at origin, destination, or during transit. The customer can determine the valuation based on the actual value of their items.
